The Story Behind Little Angel Casting
Where our name comes from, and why we do what we do
In May 2017, we experienced the unimaginable — the loss of one of life’s most precious gifts, our beautiful son, Tyler. He was just 17 months old. Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare, and learning to live with that grief is incredibly hard.
From the moment we knew Tyler had left us, all we wanted was to preserve his little hands and feet — to keep a physical piece of him with us forever. It brought us comfort in a time of unimaginable pain.
When we contacted a well-known local company, we were told, “I don’t know if any of my team would do it now he’s deceased.” Hearing that shattered us. It felt like our last glimmer of hope had been taken away.
Thankfully, someone from the same company did agree to help, but they had to travel all the way from London to Nottingham. We were incredibly grateful — but it opened our eyes to something that needed to change.
That moment stayed with me. I knew this service needed to be available — and talked about — for grieving families. No one should have to face those kinds of barriers when they’re already going through so much.
That's where Little Angel Casting was born — named after my little angel, Tyler.
My mission is to make memorial casting more accessible, more known, and to reach families in the same unimaginable situation we were once in. Because sometimes, having something to hold onto — literally — can mean everything.
